Laser Cutting OperatorAXL is a tactical gear design and manufacturing company seeking motivated laser cutting operators to join our team!DutiesResponsible for operating & maintaining CO2 Laser cutters to cut fabrics and textilesMaintain work areas and equipment.Assist with other tasks as needed and identified by management.Ideal Candidate:1+ Year experience with CO2 Laser cuttersApparel industry cut room experience and knowledge of textile materials are a plus.Knowledge of importing DXF files into laser cutters and laser cutting control software (Lightburn, RDworks, etc).Big plus if you know Autcad, Autocad LT, Fusion360, or similar CAD programs.What We Are Looking For:Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAttention to detailMechanically inclined and technically mindedSelf-driven and motivatedCompetent, smart, reliablePassion for qualityGood hand and eye coordinationStrong work ethic and organizational skillsAble to work in a moderate noise environmentCapable of lifting 50 pounds unassistedAble to work on foot or seated for extended periods of timeStrong communication skillsReliable mode of transportationAdditional Skills We Are Looking For (Not Required, However A Big Plus If You Have Them):Speak and write in Spanish fluentlyKnowledge of materials, nylon gear & sewing are a big plus: different types of nylon fabrics, webbing, elastics, velcro, camo patterns, plate carriers, pouches, packs, industrial sewing machines, etc.Experience in a production sewing environment (apparel, backpacks, pouches, purses, bags, outdoor gear, etc).Sewing on an industrial sewing machineKnowledge of military and/or law enforcement load-bearing gear (MOLLE/PALs), body armor vests, plate carriers, chest rigs, and ammo pouches from major brands (Spiritus, Crye, Ferro, Eagle, LBT, etc).Military veteran and/or first responderSoftware programs: Lightburn, RDWorks, Microsoft Office programs (email, Word, and excel) or similar Google app versions.Experience with firearms, airsoft, milsim magfed paintball, etc.Compensation / Job Advantages:Work in a comfortable heated and air-conditioned facilityStarting wage of $14.00 to $20.00 per hour: based on your knowledge and experiencePositions Available:Full-time: Day shift availablePart-time: Afternoon, nights, weekends (work with school schedules).Job type: Full-time and part-timeAXL designs and manufactures high-performance upgrades and stand alone products for Military and Law Enforcement for use with gear made by Crye Precision®, Spiritus Systems, FirstSpear®, Velocity Systems, Mayflower, S&S Precision, Ferro Concepts, LBT (London Bridge Traders), Eagle Industries, and other great Military/LE gear brands.
