Job description
Spark Academy is a co-ed, residential treatment program for adolescents specializing in neurodiversity. The students in Spark Academy struggle with challenges from high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder and other similar diagnoses.
Spark Academy is seeking dynamic and passionate life coaches to join our team! As a life coach at Spark Academy, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of teenagers, helping them discover their passions and reach their full potential. You'll work with them one-on-one, in small groups, and participate side-by-side in activities to help them develop life skills, set and achieve goals, and build confidence and resilience.

nnMonday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:00am - 11am
nMonday, Wednesday, Friday 2:30pm -10:00pm or 6:00pm - 11pm
nTuesday, Thursday, Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:00am - 11am
nTuesday, Thursday, Saturday 2:30pm -10:00pm or 6:00pm - 11pm
nWill also include a Sunday rotation, working one Sunday every four weeks, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
n nPLEASE NOTE: Not all positions are available at all times. We will place you in a position that works with your schedule the best that we can.
nKnowledge and Abilities:
nnDemonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.
nAssertiveness to learn and continually enhance knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and mental health.
nGood energy and ability to work in all weather conditions.
nEngaging and empathetic character, with a balance of tenacity and determination.
nGood problem-solving, decisiveness, and teamwork skills.
nProficient in communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
n Duties and Responsibilities:
nnDevelop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with the students to coach them in their treatment progression.
nImplement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team.bEnsure that a healthy, comfortable, safe, and caregiving environment is maintained. Participate in a wide variety of activities with the students, encouraging and supporting them to develop the skills associated with the tasks (i.e., sports, bike riding, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, etc.).
nProperly use a variety of mediation and intervention techniques to redirect students who need support and guidance during escalated moments.
nTransport the students to and from off-campus appointments and activities using company vehicles.
n nQualifications:
nnMust be at least 20 years of age or older to apply.
nPhysical ability to provide interventions, such as safety holds.
nA valid Driver's License, and no more than one traffic violation on a driving record in the past three years to be approved to transport students using company vehicles.
nProficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
