Check out the Pregis Purpose to learn how sustainability and social responsibility is at the very core of our company DNA.Competitive pay: $18–$21/hr starting wageCareer growth: Advancement opportunities with earning potential up to $32/hrWork-life balance: 2-2-3 schedule means you work only about half the monthStable employment: No seasonal slowdowns or fluctuations in order volumeAdditional Benefits:Employee Referral ProgramStrong safety cultureTeam-oriented environmentPurpose-driven company focused on sustainabilityClassification: Full-Time-HourlyReports To: Shift SupervisorShifts: Nights-6PM-6AM based on a 2-2-3 schedule (overtime as needed based on business needs)Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbide by all existing safety and work rules.Review preceding shift operations, problems, status, orders, special instructions, etc.... with preceding coater helper.Review coating schedule and ensure accurate footage is run for all products.Ensure correct film, adhesive, run conditions, web path, etc.Check solids of adhesive being used at beginning of shift and on each additional batch prior to using, adjust if necessary.Check film for corona treatment before mounting to determine correct loading of film.Visually inspect material for film and/or coating defects.Report all defects to supervisor.Check coating weights as required.Make pre-mix if necessary.Accurately measure and/or add catalyst.Prepare for changeovers in advance to minimize downtime.Complete all paperwork as required.Review shift operations, problems, status, orders, special instructions, etc. with oncoming operator.Maintain equipment as necessary, report any damage or mechanical issues to supervisor.Empty trash containers at the end of shift.Inform supervisor of any inability to complete the assigned order.Maintain a clean and safe work environment/area.Assist other plant employees as necessary.Follow all "coater operator" work instructions.Perform any and all activities as required or requested by management.Required Education, Experience and QualificationsFamiliarity with Manufacturing or Quality environment preferred.Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift 50 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels.Ability to read a tape measure.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills.Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics.Additional auxiliary equipment: Possess or learn the ability to operate Forklift, Cranes, Floor Jacks, Saws, Knives (other hand tools).Diversity and InclusionWe believe in diversity of thought and bringing together other traits and characteristics that make an individual bring a unique experience to Pregis.
