Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains Coder requests and Op note requests queues.
Sends requested information to Hospital/ASC sites while abiding by HIPPA constraints.
Prints and uploads records to billing system.
Emails Providers for documentation deficiencies, with clear and concise verbiage.
Applies for online access to Hospital EMR.
Faxing requests/information to correct counterpart.
Scans correspondence into patient accounts and links images.
Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
0-2 years of experience in same/related field
CPC-A or CPC, preferred but not required
Understanding of Medical terminology
Upholds patient confidentiality
Ability to understand and work in multiple systems
Basic understanding of how to read Medical records
Must be self motivated in a high paced production environment
Skill in verbal and written communication
Skill in gathering and reporting information
Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems
Must have a pleasant disposition and be a team player
