MTK Healthcare is actively seeking an experienced Coding & Billing Auditor for a full-time opportunity with BayHealth Hospital - Kent Campus in Dover, Delaware.

Job Title: Coding & Billing Auditor

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift
Salary Range: $53,000 - $81,000 annually
Role Overview
The Coding & Billing Auditor is responsible for performing comprehensive audits of provider documentation to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes. This role also involves educating providers and staff on coding standards, improving documentation quality, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Audit medical records for accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding
Analyze audit findings and prepare detailed reports
Ensure coding aligns with clinical documentation
Educate physicians and staff on coding guidelines and documentation
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership on process improvements
Train new team members on coding standards and best practices
Support performance evaluations and coding quality initiatives
Requirements Certified Professional Coder (CPC) - Mandatory
Minimum 5 years of coding and auditing experience (inpatient/outpatient)
Strong experience in professional physician coding
Experience in multi-specialty coding preferred
Associate Degree (Bachelor's preferred)
Strong communication skills with experience interacting with physicians
