Provide daily updates regarding coding processes, intra-departmental chart review requests and quality improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures and governing agencies. Assists with developing policies and procedures to facilitate timely coding and accurate reimbursement.Qualifications:EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredWork Experience4 years of Hospital Coding/HIM Inpatient and/or Outpatient coding experience RequiredManagement/Supervisory experience in healthcare related field PreferredSpecialty Hospital Coding experience PreferredExperience in coding across multiple specialties within a hospital coding environment and remote coding experience PreferredLicenses and CertificationsOne or more of the following certifications: Upon Hire RequiredRHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator orRHIT - Registered Health Information TechnicianCCS-Certified Coding SpecialistPiedmont Healthcare Corporate
