Job description
Coiling Set Up Tech BThe Coiling Set up Tech B is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and the operation of Coiling machines. You're also responsible for preventive maintenance, cleaning and quality checks of your assigned machinery to ensure delivery of parts to our customer in a timely manner. In the Coiling area, we have a strong teamwork atmosphere and a good work ethic.Essential FunctionsWorks with Managers, Supervisor, leads and other team members to achieve departmental and company goals.Responsible for inspecting parts and Plex data entry of all hourly checksPhysically loading material onto machine(s).Set-up Coiling machines, CNC and Mechanical (maintenance, cleaning etc.)Control and adjust machine settings to form a quality part.Fix any issues that may occur during your assigned shift.Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following policies and procedures.Loading sample parts and production parts into batch ovens.All other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.CompetenciesAttention to detailTeam playerFlexibility and AdaptabilityWillingness to learn and improveEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.2-4 Years of machining preferred but not requiredTechnical Skills & AbilitiesAbility to enter data into automated systems (e.g., PLEX).Use of measurement devices… Calipers, Micrometers, optical comparator, load testersComputer skillsBlueprint reading and knowledge of GD+TStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve clearly defined issues.Regular and consistent attendance is essential.Soft SkillsClarity of communication, speech and writingDependabilityAdaptability & TrustworthinessTrustworthinessPhysical DemandsStanding / walking for long periods of timeStoopingRepetitive motionLifting – and or move up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds.ReachingWorkplace chemicalsOther – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focusWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described below are representative of those a team member may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
