Job TitleCollection & Technical Services ClerkJob DescriptionThe Collection & Technical Services Clerk finds and tracks requested library materials for patrons, prepares and repairs library materials for patrons to check out.Job QualificationsThe following are the regular duties for this position. These duties are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned based on the needs of GRRL.Searches, tracks and requests materials online.Helps keep library materials and the catalog up to date.Supports the librarians by locating online reviews about requested materials and evaluating donated materials.Sends notices to patrons or other libraries regarding unreturned materials.Receives and prepares new library materials for patron use.Repairs damaged library materials.Processes incoming and outgoing mail.Fills supply requests for the region and maintains a supply inventory.Supplemental InformationEducation and Experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong organizational skills with attention to detailComputer skills to use email, research online, enter dataAbility to do routine work and follow instructionsAbility to complete manual and repetitive tasks accurately and neatlyEffective communication skills, written and verbalOur commitment to growth: GRRL is committed to helping our future and present staff develop preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.
