Join a collaborative, supportive workplace culture offering strong professional development opportunities and a mission-driven approach to customer care.The Collections Specialist is responsible for the specific duties listed below.Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts.Initiate contact with debtors through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts, payment options, and negotiate payment arrangements.Document all collection activities, including communication records, payment arrangements, and any relevant information obtained during discussions with debtors within client standards and Federal Regulations.Provide exceptional customer service to debtors, responding to inquiries, providing accurate information, and addressing concerns.Utilize skip tracing techniques and tools to locate debtors who have changed contact information or are difficult to reach.Required qualifications for the position include:3 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles.Proficiency in using collections software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Basic computing skills.Familiarity with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Strong negotiation, persuasion, verbal, and written communication skills.Must be able to obtain the required License for collecting upon placement.High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred qualifications for the position include:Experience in collections or related customer service within a financial or credit environment.Some college coursework in business or related fields.Pay Rate Range: $20.00 per hour Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
