Accounts Receivable / Collections SpecialistLocation: North Plainfield, NJ Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite Compensation: $33.00 - $35.00 per hourLHH is working with a well-established property management organization in their search for an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will focus on managing receivables for a portfolio of properties, ensuring payments are received and applied accurately, and working directly with tenants to resolve outstanding balances and billing issues.This is a great opportunity for someone with Accounts Receivable or Collections experience who enjoys a combination of accounting, problem-solving, and customer communication.ResponsibilitiesManage daily Accounts Receivable activities for a portfolio of propertiesMonitor tenant accounts and follow up on outstanding balancesCommunicate with tenants by phone and email regarding past-due payments and account questionsProcess, post, and apply rental payments accuratelyResearch and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issuesPrepare, review, and maintain aging reportsTrack outstanding receivables and assist with collection effortsMaintain accurate records and documentation of collection activityWork closely with property management and accounting teams to resolve account issuesProvide professional and responsive service to tenantsEnsure collection activities and documentation are handled in accordance with applicable policies and regulationsQualificationsPrevious experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or a related accounting functionStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable communicating with tenants regarding overdue balances and payment issuesStrong attention to detail and accuracy when processing paymentsExperience researching and resolving billing discrepanciesFamiliarity with aging reports and monitoring outstanding receivablesStrong organizational and follow-up skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with a teamFor immediate consideration please email your resume to: include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
