College & Career Coach
The College & Career Coach is an advanced, student-facing position designed for experienced student advisors who drive deep community impact. Serving as the primary lead for school and campus partnerships, the Coach manages larger and more complex student caseloads. Though this role does not directly manage personnel, they do provide critical mentorship, guidance, and training support to our College Fellows. This role blends advanced direct service with internal leadership to maintain high-quality student programming across diverse educational ecosystems.

To perform the essential functions of this position, employees may be required to: sit, stand, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Have close-vision ability due to computer work. Engage in moderate, occasional lifting. Have a reliable means of transportation to attend regular work as well as other off-site business functions. Note: Due to the nature and conditions of our work, applicants must submit to fingerprinting and provide a clear tuberculosis (TB) test as part of the background check.

Core accountabilities include advanced caseload advising, leadership & stakeholder management, mentorship & talent development, and data-driven optimization.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 3+ years experience in a client- or student-service position, 3+ years experience in financial aid navigation and college access/success matriculation steps, geographic proximity to the region(s) being served and a reliable means of transportation to accommodate required regional travel, bilingual Spanish/English a plus, high level of professionalism including promptness, preparedness, and professional appearance, excellent presentation and communication skills, strong administrative, organization, and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite applications, Salesforce (or other CRM), and Canva or other presentation software, demonstrated enthusiasm and initiative, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, willingness to learn and be self-reflective, lived experience aligned with the communities served by 10,000 Degrees (e.g., first-generation college graduates or low-income background) is highly valued, alumni of 10,000 Degrees scholarships a plus.
Salary: $35.00/hour
