Campus Safety OfficerKnox College is looking to hire a part-time, 2nd shift, weekend Campus Safety Officer. We are looking for someone ready to make an impact & join a great team to work with!Knox invites applications for the part-time, 12-month position of Campus Safety Officer. This Campus Safety Officer will work on an as-needed basis up to 24 hours per week, which may include any shift, including nights, weekends and/or holidays. This position reports to the Director of Campus Safety. Essential Duties:Patrol campus in a vehicle and on foot for the protection of students, employees, visitors and their propertyRespond to emergency situations and routine requests for serviceWrite incident reportsEnforce Knox College rules and regulationsSecure and provide authorized access to campus buildingsCoordinate with emergency services when requiredReport any safety/security situationsEducation and Experience:Required Qualifications:Preferred- two or more years experience in security or law enforcementValid driver's licenseAbility to patrol on foot in all types of weatherStrong, professional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to make sound decisions, sometimes with limited information, in fluid situationsIn keeping with its commitment to equal rights since it was founded in 1837, Knox College particularly welcomes applications from members of underrepresented groups.
