nAutomotive Detail Specialist
nMohawk Honda is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Detail Specialist to join our Collision Department team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and take pride in delivering flawless results, we want to hear from you.
nIn this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and quality-checked before and after repairs. Our workplace values teamwork and collaboration, so you can expect to work closely with technicians, estimators, and management to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
nExperience in automotive detailing is required.
nKey Responsibilities
nnnPerform a very thorough inspection including documenting the vehicles condition before entering the repair process. (i.e. mileage, vehicle options, fuel and unrelated damages)
n
nnPerform a very detailed car wash (under the hood, door jambs, and wheel well cleaning) to remove all dirt prior to vehicle entering the repair process.
n
nnPerforming inspection of completed repairs. Removing minor flaws in the refinish using sanding and buffing.
n
nnReporting and larger noticeable repair concerns or paint defects to management
n
nnCompleting a full interior detail on every vehicle unless told otherwise by management.
n
nnCompleting a full exterior detail on every vehicle unless told otherwise by management. Wash, rinse and dry all door jambs, under hood and exterior. Cleaning and scrubbing wheels and tires.
n
nnFinalize detail, wax, remove swirl marks around panels that were wet sanded and buffed. Remove all wax. Inspect vehicle completely outside under proper lighting.
n
nnFill out final Quality Control sheet documenting mileage and sign off that completed detail was performed.
n
nnKeep detail area clean and organized. Assist other departments in the maintenance of all equipment.
n
nnPerform related work as required by management. Keep all bottles used labeled correctly. If worn off or needing replacement, inform management.

n nQualifications & Requirements
nnnValid and clean driver’s license required.
n
nnPrevious automotive detailing experience required.
n
nnStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
n
nnAbility to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
n
nnWorking knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures.
n
nnFamiliarity with chemicals used in detailing and ability to review Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
n
nnNotifying management of any change for insurance purposes.
n
