Job description
Color Print Production OperatorWe are looking for an experienced Color Print Production Operator to join a fast-paced print production environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in color printing, digital production, reprographics, graphic design, or print finishing who enjoys working with technology, solving production challenges, and producing high-quality work on deadline.What You'll DoPrioritize incoming print orders based on customer needs, workload, media, finishing requirements, and equipment capabilities.Review, process, and modify client files as needed to meet print specifications.Estimate production time and material requirements.Recommend appropriate media, substrates, bindery, and finishing options.Operate and maintain digital printers, scanners, bindery, and finishing equipment.Manage inventory of paper, media, substrates, ink, toner, and finishing supplies.Perform quality control on printed and finished materials.Package completed projects for pickup, delivery, or shipping.Troubleshoot production issues and make recommendations when orders require adjustments.Maintain an organized and productive work area.Assist with customer service by answering phones and taking messages when needed.Work closely with team members to meet customer deadlines and production goals.Assist other departments as needed.Work occasional overtime when necessary to meet production deadlines.What We're Looking ForExperience in color print production, digital printing, reprographics, graphic production, or a related field.Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Experience with RIP software; Onyx RIP and Fiery experience is a plus.Experience with digital cutting software/equipment; Colex experience is a plus.Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Comfortable learning new software, equipment, and technology with limited training.Knowledge of materials and equipment used in color printing, duplicating, binding, and finishing.Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to multitask and prioritize competing production deadlines.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions.Positive, team-oriented, and willing to learn new production techniques.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to safely handle and maneuver large-format prints, media, and substrates.Ability to stand, move around the production area, and perform repetitive production tasks.Ability to carefully handle finished materials to prevent damage during production and packaging.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree in Graphic Design, Production Design, or a related field preferred.2+ years of equivalent experience in color reprographics, digital print production, or a related field using design and file/print editing software.Compensation & BenefitsPay: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits may include:Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) with company matchCompany-paid life insuranceShort- and long-term disability optionsVoluntary life insurancePaid time offEmployee recognition programsSpot awardsAdditional voluntary benefitsIf you have a strong background in color print production, Adobe Creative Cloud, digital printing, RIP software, and print finishing, we'd love to hear from you!
