Colorado Water Resources Engineering Leader
Location: Denver, CO | Type: Full-time | Salary: $160,000-$190,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus
The Opportunity
Lead and grow a Colorado water rights engineering practice at an employee-owned engineering and environmental sciences consulting firm. You'll be the senior technical voice on water rights and water supply, guide strategy on Colorado projects, and build the client relationships that expand the firm's presence across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. You'll also collaborate with teams on the firm's national platform. This role reports to the Regional Director.
What You Bring
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related field
Master's degree preferred
Experience
12+ years of experience, including 8+ years as a water resources engineer in Colorado
Expert testimony experience preferred
Professional registration desirable (or 12+ years of demonstrated experience where registration isn't available for your degree)
Technical Skills
Knowledge of Colorado water rights frameworks and administration
Surface water modeling and water balance modeling
Water resources planning
Data management and visualization
Technical writing
Core Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication with clients, subconsultants, regulatory agencies and the public
Commitment to integrated solutions, responsiveness, ingenuity, quality and results
Valid driver's license
Work Environment
Fast-paced setting with a high-volume workload and frequent short deadlines
Occasional travel, including overnight, for client meetings and site visits (up to 25%)
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and to sit or stand for extended periods

Base salary of $160,000-$190,000, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location
