Job description
Combo Welders & PipefittersPay: $27-$31 HR/DOE | Location: Maryville, TN | Weekly Pay | Full BenefitsResponsibilities:Combo Welder Perform TIG, MIG, stick, and/or flux-cored welding on pipe and structural componentsWeld pipe systems for commercial and industrial construction projectsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawingsCut, fit, tack, and weld piping systems and componentsPrepare surfaces and materials for weldingEnsure welds meet quality and safety standardsOperate welding equipment, cutting torches, grinders, and related toolsWork closely with pipefitters, project supervisors, and field crewsMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirementsLift and carry objects weighing up to 75 poundsPipefitter Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and bendersAssemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specificationsAttach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipmentInspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelinesMeasure and mark pipes for cutting and threadingPlan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specificationsRequirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in Combo Welding -OR- Commercial/Industrial PipefittingWelders must pass a weld testMust be familiar with butt welds on carbon and stainlessAll trades must have their own basic hand toolsOSHA 10 OR 30 preferredComplete tasks as assigned by the site supervisorPerform all tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervisionMust be able to follow both verbal and written instructionsComplete all assignments requiring physical activity for a full shiftWork all hours assignedMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMust have a valid driver's license and dependable transportationMust pass drug screen and all required background checksWhat We Offer:Medical insuranceVision insuranceDental insuranceAll employees must have proper PPE, including a hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves.All SLS employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
