This environment values proactive business development, strong credit judgment, and visible market leadership.Workplace: On-site in Tampa Bay, FL.Function: This role is focused on lower middle market commercial banking, with responsibility for originating new C&I relationships, developing referral channels, structuring credit opportunities, and growing deposits and treasury management relationships.Requirements5+ years of experience in commercial banking, business development, or relationship management preferredProven commercial lending origination track record in the lower middle market segmentActive presence and established network within the Tampa Bay marketDemonstrated success developing business through centers of influence, including CPAs, M&A attorneys, business brokers, and private equity sponsorsExperience structuring and presenting C&I credit opportunities in the $5MM–$25MM rangeStrong understanding of operating company banking needs, with a focus on C&I rather than CRE-heavy or SBA-dominant productionAbility to partner effectively with underwriting, treasury management, and internal credit teamsExperience managing portfolio performance, annual reviews, and relationship expansionStrong knowledge of regulated banking practices, including employment screening, credit background review, and compliance expectationsTitle level may align from Vice President to Senior Vice President depending on experience and production historyDescriptionBuild and maintain an outbound prospecting pipeline targeting lower middle market operating companies in the Tampa Bay areaDevelop and activate a strong COI network to generate new opportunities and referral flowOriginate new credit commitments, deposit relationships, and treasury management businessStructure and present credit opportunities tailored to client operating needs and transaction objectivesPartner with underwriting and internal stakeholders to move deals efficiently through approval and closingAdvocate for clients throughout the credit process while maintaining sound credit disciplineOnboard new relationships and introduce the full suite of commercial banking products and solutionsMaintain a disciplined calling cadence across both prospects and existing clientsConduct annual relationship reviews, support renewals, and deepen wallet share over timeRepresent the institution in the Tampa Bay business community through events, associations, and market engagementBuild a visible reputation as a trusted commercial banker serving operating companies in the $25MM–$75MM revenue segment
