Commercial Civil Construction EstimatorLocation: N.W. Houston, TXPay rate: $100-125k (DOE)Position Summary:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Civil Construction Estimator to join our team. The Commercial Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and supporting the bidding process for commercial construction and service projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring competitive and profitable project bids.Key Responsibilities:Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimatesPerform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipmentSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bidsPrepare and submit competitive proposals and bid packagesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirementsIdentify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering optionsMaintain and update cost databases and estimating softwareTrack and analyze project costs versus estimates for continuous improvementAssist in contract negotiations and scope reviews as neededQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)3+ years of experience in commercial estimating or civil construction cost estimatingStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standardsProficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar)Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsExperience with sitework, paving, and underground utilitiesAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience with TXDot Projects.Preferred Skills:Experience in commercial pre-construction siteworkExperience with commercial underground utilitiesExperience with TXDot paving projects
