Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Commercial Class A OTR Truck Driver to transport flatbed and oversized-load freight using company trucks, electronic logging devices, and dispatch and navigation systems. This role reports to the Operations Manager, with assignment lengths varying by dispatch, and requires a strong commitment to safe, compliant, and efficient long-haul operations.
Responsibilities
Plan routes and navigate assigned OTR routes.
Drive long-haul routes transporting flatbed and oversized-load freight.
Inspect vehicles through thorough pre-trip inspections.
Secure cargo in accordance with applicable requirements.
Track driving hours using electronic logging devices.
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
Communicate safety and operational information effectively.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Current DOT medical certificate.
Knowledge of defensive driving practices and DOT regulations.
Experience using electronic logging devices.
Understanding of hours-of-service compliance.
Proficiency in pre-trip inspections, cargo securement, and route navigation.
Vehicle maintenance, time management, and safety communication skills.
