Job description
Location: Plantersville, TX | Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 annually
We are looking for a Commercial Concrete Estimator to help drive our project success and business growth. In this role, you will play a key part in crafting competitive bids and refining our internal estimating workflows within our rapidly expanding construction firm.
Core Responsibilities
Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and bid packages to define the full scope of work.
Perform precise quantity takeoffs for reinforcing steel, concrete, formwork, and associated tasks.
Calculate comprehensive costs covering labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
Secure and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and scope alignment.
Draft professional proposals that clearly outline pricing, assumptions, and project inclusions or exclusions to support successful project acquisition.
Professional Qualifications
Proven background in estimating commercial concrete construction projects.
Hands-on experience with estimating tilt walls, foundations, paving, retaining walls, flat work, slope paving, and base preparation.
Completion of a degree, diploma, or certificate program in civil engineering, construction management, construction technology, estimating, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex construction specifications and drawings.
Deep knowledge of concrete construction techniques, material costs, and labor requirements to ensure project profitability.
Proficiency in utilizing Bluebeam or similar industry-standard software tools.
