Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team and oversee project operations from start to finish. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
Supervise the day-to-day activities on-site, including managing subcontractors and construction crews.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce company safety policies.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned with objectives.
Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress and daily reports.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on-site promptly and efficiently.
Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness, solving any issues or delays that may arise.
Maintain effective communication with all parties involved, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Oversee implementation of the project schedule and track milestones to ensure adherence to timelines.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a commercial Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze project specifications and interpret blueprints and plans.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
A degree in construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Certification in first aid, OSHA‑10 and a valid driver’s license may be required.
