Job description

Commercial Electrical Field SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Field Specialist to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade projects across active commercial facilities and construction sites. This position is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional who enjoys working in the field, solving technical problems, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with project teams while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.Core FunctionsElectrical Installation & ServiceInstall, modify, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems and associated equipmentDiagnose electrical malfunctions and implement effective corrective actionsPerform infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and system improvementsPlan and install conduit systems using both manual and powered bending equipmentSupport electrical layouts and installation methods designed for long-term system reliabilityTechnical Interpretation & DocumentationRead and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and project specificationsUtilize industry-standard tools and equipment including cable pullers, knockout sets, threaders, drills, and testing devicesComplete service documentation, inspection records, work orders, and project reports accurately and on timeVerify completed work meets project specifications and applicable code requirementsField Operations & Project SupportTravel between local job sites to support installation and service activitiesWork safely from ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolding, and elevated work areas when requiredMaintain organized work areas and protect equipment, materials, and job site conditionsMeet production schedules and project milestones while maintaining workmanship standardsAdhere to safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements, confined-space protocols, and site-specific regulationsTeam Collaboration & Ongoing DevelopmentAssist with troubleshooting related building systems, including HVAC and refrigeration equipment when applicableParticipate in technical training, safety meetings, and continuing education opportunitiesSupport team objectives through professionalism, communication, and cooperationContribute ideas that improve efficiency, safety, and service qualityRequired QualificationsJourneyman-level experience in commercial electrical installation and service workPreferred minimum of four years of experience performing commercial electrical troubleshooting and installationStrong understanding of electrical theory, industry standards, and safe work practicesDemonstrated ability to independently bend, route, and install conduit systemsExperience using electrical hand tools, testing equipment, and power tools commonly found on commercial job sitesStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and professionalismPreferred BackgroundExperience working with HVAC, refrigeration, or related mechanical systemsExposure to multiple commercial projects running simultaneouslyBackground in commercial construction, facility maintenance, service operations, or renovation projectsExperience interacting directly with customers, contractors, or facility personnelTraining & ComplianceAbility to complete required safety certifications and project-specific compliance trainingWillingness to participate in ongoing technical, operational, and safety development programsCommitment to maintaining safe work practices and regulatory complianceIdeal Candidate ProfileThis opportunity is well suited for an electrical professional who enjoys hands-on field work, troubleshooting complex systems, and contributing to successful commercial projects.
