Job description
Job Description Job Description Build a Career That Never Gets Boring If you know your way around Commercial HVAC, refrigeration, walk-in and reach-in coolers, ice machines, and freezers, DOC Services wants to put your skills to work - and reward you for them. For over 28 years, we've kept our customers' equipment running, cutting downtime and protecting their bottom line. Now we're growing, and we need an HVACR Technician to join us.
What You'll Do You'll perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on Commercial HVAC units and light industrial equipment at big-box retail locations within about a 3-hour radius of home - no cross-country travel required. Day to day, you'll:
Troubleshoot electronic and electrical components to find the source of a problem
Perform repair and preventative maintenance on Commercial HVAC and refrigeration units
Diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and listening for what's wrong
Dismantle and repair equipment using hand and power tools, then reassemble it right
Identify and order the correct parts quickly to minimize downtime
Keep parts and supply inventory stocked, anticipating what you'll need based on trends
Report in daily and stay in regular contact with store managers, your regional DOC supervisor, and office admin
Follow OSHA and DOC safety regulations on every job
Maintain your company vehicle
What's In It For You Steady, year-round work - our cross-training keeps you busy across seasons instead of riding out a slow spell
Competitive pay
Consistent, local routes - you're servicing stores within about a 3-hour radius of home, so your schedule is predictable, not a guessing game week to week
A company built to last - 28+ years in business and still growing, so you're joining a team with real staying power, not a shop that could fold or get sold off
You matter here - you're a skilled professional with a name and a voice on this team, not just a number on a route sheet
401(k) plan
Paid time off that doesn't expire
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Life insurance , plus short- and long-term disability options
Company vehicle provided for your routes
Worksite address
