Job Description Job Description The Commercial HVAC Service Technician specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. Working within a small team, the technician ensures equipment operates efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. Opportunities for advancement and specialized training are available for growth within the role.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems such as rooftop units, chillers, and VRF systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues to ensure optimal performance
Perform system testing and equipment calibration
Conduct preventive maintenance and parts replacement
Maintain safety compliance and adhere to regulatory standards
Interact professionally with customers, addressing their concerns and explaining work performed
Document service activities accurately for record-keeping and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service
Technical certification in HVAC or related field
EPA Section 608 Certification
Proficiency in HVAC system diagnostics and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Strong customer service skills
