nThe First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lender to join our team in Wilson, NC. This individual will play a key role in servicing existing commercial customers while expanding the bank’s presence in Wilson, NC and the surrounding area.
nThe Commercial Lender will expand the bank’s presence by actively promoting the Bank’s full suite of financial products and services, with a particular focus on commercial loans and deposit solutions. The ideal candidate will work to strengthen the Bank’s footprint in Wilson, NC.
nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnTo achieve commercial lending goals in compliance with the bank’s overall growth, profitability, and credit quality objectives.
nWork closely with current and potential customers to understand their operations and financial needs.
nActively develop new business relationships and service our current customers.
nKeeps abreast of pertinent market and regulatory developments to identify current and potential lending market areas in the region.
nFully understand and promote the bank’s products and services to include but not be limited to the digital banking tools and resources.
nUnderstand the Bank’s required underwriting guidelines to include cash flows, loan repayment options and credit terms.
nMaintains a portfolio of existing customers and relationships as needed to accommodate annual new business.
nWork with Credit Administration and Loan Operations to ensure all required underwriting documents are accurate and received for review in a timely manner.
nProvide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
nCorrespond with customers to answer questions regarding application information.
nActively participate in the community to promote The First Bank and Trust Company.
n nQUALIFICATIONS :
nnBachelor’s degree – Accounting, Business or Finance
nTwo years of previous lending or underwriting experience
nStrong communications and interpersonal skills.
nAttention to detail.
nBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn banking software.
