Job Description Commercial Lines Sales Executive
Job Summary Seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Lines Sales Executive to develop new business and build long-term client relationships throughout the NYC Metro area. This role focuses on delivering tailored commercial insurance and risk management solutions, with an emphasis on Real Estate and Construction accounts.
The ideal candidate has a strong industry network, deep commercial insurance knowledge, and a proven ability to generate new business while maintaining lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of commercial insurance business.
Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry associations, and strategic partnerships.
Conduct risk assessments and identify client exposures to recommend appropriate insurance and risk management solutions.
Collaborate with carrier underwriters to negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage.
Present insurance proposals and clearly explain coverage options to clients and prospects.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication, policy reviews, and renewal strategies.
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetites, and regulatory developments affecting Real Estate and Construction clients.
Collaborate with account management and service teams to support a high level of client service and retention.
Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and retention goals.
Participate in industry events, trade associations, and professional networking opportunities.
Qualifications/Requirements
5+ years of commercial insurance sales or producer experience.
Demonstrated expertise in Real Estate and Construction insurance programs.
Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales goals.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze complex risks and develop comprehensive insurance solutions.
Experience working with agency management software and CRM platforms.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Existing book of business or strong industry referral network preferred.
CIC, CRM, CPCU, or similar professional designation preferred.
Experience with middle-market and large commercial accounts preferred.
Familiarity with insurance carriers specializing in Real Estate and Construction risks preferred.
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $100,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience.
Commission opportunities in addition to base salary.
Performance-based bonus opportunities.
