Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney with federal experience in Westbury, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of commercial litigation caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
Represent clients in court, including hearings, conferences, and trials.
Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client goals.
Advise institutional clients on case risks, resolutions, and regulatory considerations.
Maintain compliance with all federal, local, and judge‑specific rules.
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple jurisdictions to ensure consistency and high‑quality client representation.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines.
Experience in creditors’ rights or financial services litigation is a plus.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Licensed to practice law in New York.
