Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join a dynamic, community-focused financial institution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for originating, developing, and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial loans while building long-term relationships with clients and business partners. This individual will play a key role in expanding the organization's presence in the market and ensuring exceptional service throughout all phases of the lending process.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, develop, and manage new and existing commercial lending relationships.
Solicit loan applications, analyze creditworthiness, and ensure thorough and compliant documentation.
Serve as the primary contact for commercial clients throughout the loan process, ensuring timely communication and efficient service delivery.
Maintain a strong understanding of commercial products, credit policies, and industry regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate loan processing and servicing.
Cross-sell complementary financial services to existing and prospective clients.
Monitor portfolio performance and manage risk through ongoing analysis and proactive client engagement.
Represent the organization in community and business events to promote brand visibility and generate referral opportunities.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in commercial or business lending and servicing within a financial institution.
Proven success in a sales-driven financial services environment with a focus on portfolio growth and client satisfaction.
Strong understanding of commercial products, lending regulations, and financial analysis.
Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships and community connections.
Must possess or be able to develop an existing commercial loan portfolio.
