Job description
Commercial Painter – Higham Company, Inc.— DMV RegionWe're seeking an experienced Commercial Painter to join our crews on active jobsites throughout the DMV region. You'll work alongside a crew that knows the trade, moves fast, and takes pride in a job done right.Perform surface preparation including drywall patching, caulking, sanding, and painting per spec and manufacturer requirements.Apply paint coatings using sprayers, brushes, and rollers.Follow jobsite safety requirements and use PPE as requiredKeep tools, equipment and materials in organized and good working conditionTransport and manage jobsite equipment, trade tools as needed.Support field management.Maintain clean, safe jobsites while complying fully with OSHA and company safety protocols.Work efficiently to keep pace with crew production goals.Minimum 1 year of proven experience in commercial or construction painting applications.Solid practical working knowledge of surface preparation and coatings.Demonstrated experience using airless paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, and caulking guns.Ability and physical comfort working at heights on Ladders and power lifts.High attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and a commitment to quality.Up to 3 years of trade experience in commercial paint and coatings.Completion of a Trade Program or Technical Certification in painting.Bilingual communication capabilities in English and Spanish.Competitive hourly rate ranging from $22.00 to $28.00+ per hour based on trade experience.Weekly pay cycle,Profit-sharing programs and 401(k) retirement plan options with employer matching.Full health insurance coverage options including Medical and Dental benefits.Health Savings Account (HSA) and customizable life and disability insurance options.Paid Time Off package covering major holidays, vacation, and sick leave.Comprehensive safety equipment provided alongside employer-paid safety and technical certifications.Smartphone or tablet technology access provided based on field position needs.Regular company events within a collaborative, family-first work environment.Higham Company, Inc. is a commercial painting and wallcovering contractor serving clients throughout the DMV region, including general contractors, property managers, and end users.
