Digital Press OperatorCommercial Printing | (City, State)A new commercial printing company is seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to join its production team. This position is ideal for a hands-on printing professional who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-volume digital printing equipment while consistently producing quality work.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate production digital printing pressesReview job tickets, artwork, proofs, and production specifications before beginning each jobLoad paper and other substrates and configure press settings based on job requirementsPerform accurate press setups, changeovers, color adjustments, and registrationMonitor color consistency, image quality, registration, and overall print quality throughout productionPerform routine color calibration and quality-control checksTroubleshoot press, feeding, imaging, color, and workflow issuesPerform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor equipment repairsMonitor consumables including ink, toner, blankets, imaging components, and paperMaintain production speeds while minimizing waste, spoilage, and downtimeAccurately record production information and communicate job status or equipment issues to supervisorsCoordinate with prepress, bindery, shipping, and other production departments to keep jobs moving efficientlyFollow company safety, quality, and housekeeping proceduresEquipment ExperienceQualified candidates should have hands-on experience operating one or more types of production digital printing equipment, such as:HP Indigo – 5500, 5600, 7000, 7500, 7800, 7900, 10K, 12K, 15K, 18K, 100K or similarXerox – iGen, Iridesse, Versant or similarCanon – imagePRESS, varioPRINT, ProStream or similarRicoh – Pro Series production pressesKonica Minolta – AccurioPress production equipmentKodak – NexPressFujifilm – Jet Press/J PressXeikon, Screen, EFI, HP PageWide or comparable production digital equipmentExperience with every platform listed above is not required.
