Commercial Outside Sales Engineer - HVAC Products | Carrier Enterprise | Des Moines, IACarrier Enterprise (CE) currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Sales Engineer. Join a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies, and be part of a team that excels in providing top-notch HVAC/R solutions through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors.Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts, and supplies. We operate primarily in the B2B environment, selling our products through licensed HVAC dealers and contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver, and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. With over 200+ locations across 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Canada, we are well-positioned to meet our customers' HVAC/R needs.The Commercial Sales Engineer works as a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application and sale of unitary heating and ventilation systems, controls and related material across our distributor network.Job Responsibilities: Commercial Sales EngineerContact and call on consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, and owners to achieve annual sales and gross margin goalsConduct sales, design, and application training to above reference key decision makersWork with specifying engineers and design-build contractors to help specify CE productsCreate new business through organized prospecting and increase our share of business from assigned territoryConduct take-offs of plans and specifications; develop and price estimates, write the proposal and bid jobsParticipate in local and regional trade organizations and trade showsProvide and/or coordinate technical and product training to customersRequirements: Commercial Sales Engineer5+ years of proven technical sales, HVAC sales experienceAn undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical disciplineSolid understanding of HVAC principlesVerifiable experience with specified productsStrong presentation skillsProficient with a PC and Microsoft Office applicationsProficiency with CRM/Database toolsQualifications: Commercial Sales EngineerOur products are commercial and residential HVAC parts and equipment, therefore, experience working with contractors is desired.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentSolid problem-solving abilities with the competence to make recommendationsFull-time and Part-time positions are available.
