Commercial Service Electrician (Journeyman)
Pay: $25-$28 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible scheduling available)
Location: Virginia-based with some regional travel
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (depending on fit)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a service-focused commercial role. This position centers on electrical service and maintenance work at commercial facilities and retail environments. This is not new construction or equipment repair.
This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who values service work, flexibility, and steady hours, whether seeking full-time stability or part-time flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform commercial electrical service and maintenance work
Troubleshoot interior and exterior lighting systems, including parking lot lighting
Address tripped breakers, wiring issues, and general electrical repairs
Communicate professionally with on-site contacts and customers
Travel to service locations as needed
Maintain safety standards and electrical code compliance
Required Qualifications Active Journeyman Electrician license
Commercial service experience preferred
Strong customer-facing and communication skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Comfortable working independently in the field
