URGENT OPENING | $20.00/HR TO START | TEMP-TO-HIRE | AKRON, OH
Looking for a hands-on job where you can learn a specialized skill and build a career?
We are urgently hiring a Semi Truck Tire Repair Technician in Akron, Ohio! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a starting wage of $20.00/hour and room for growth .
No experience repairing semi truck tires? That's okay! The company is willing to train the right person who has a strong mechanical mind, enjoys working with their hands, and is willing to learn.
THIS IS NOT A CAR TIRE TECHNICIAN POSITION
This position involves working with commercial/semi truck tires and learning specialized tire repair techniques. You will be trained on the proper methods for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing injuries to heavy-duty tires.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Semi Truck Tire Repair Technician, you will learn to:
Inspect and diagnose damage and injuries to commercial truck tires
Determine whether a damaged tire is repairable
Learn specialized procedures for repairing heavy-duty tires
Use pneumatic/air-powered tools to buff, grind, and groove tires
Prepare tires for repair and ensure repairs are completed properly
Work with various tools and equipment
Inspect finished repairs for quality and safety
Follow established safety procedures and repair standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as you learn and develop in the position

We are looking for someone who:
Has a mechanical mind and enjoys figuring out how things work
Likes working with their hands and tools
Is mechanically inclined and comfortable learning new equipment
Has good attention to detail
Takes pride in doing quality work
Can follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
Is dependable and willing to learn
Can work in a physically demanding, hands-on environment
Previous mechanical experience is a PLUS!
Experience as a mechanic, maintenance technician, machine operator, automotive technician, diesel technician, or someone who regularly works with tools and equipment could translate well into this position.
