Part-Time Community Services AssistantReports To: Community Manager / Assistant Community ManagerLocation: MorningStar HOA Onsite Office, Georgetown, TXPosition Type: Part-Time — schedule based on office needsDepartment: Community Operations / Resident ServicesCompensation: Competitive; commensurate with experiencePosition Summary: The Part-Time Community Services Assistant serves as the welcoming face of the MorningStar HOA onsite office. This position is central to delivering an exceptional resident experience — from the first phone call to the last interaction at the front desk. The ideal candidate is warm, polished, organized, and genuinely enjoys making people feel heard and helped. This role supports the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the office while serving as a first-line ambassador for community standards, culture, and events. You will work directly alongside the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager in a fast-paced, high visibility environment that demands professionalism, discretion, and a proactive attitude.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResident & Customer ServiceGreet residents, guests, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner; serve as the primary face of the onsite officeAnswer incoming phone calls promptly and direct or resolve resident inquiries with accuracy and courtesyProvide information regarding community amenities, policies, procedures, events, and HOA governance documentsAssist residents with navigating community platforms including TownSq and amenity access requestsDe-escalate resident concerns professionally and escalate to management when warranted, with accurate notesRespond to general office email correspondence as directed by managementAdministrative & Office OperationsMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment at all timesPerform filing, data entry, document preparation, copying, scanning, and record-keeping dutiesDistribute community information, forms, violation notices, and correspondence as directedCoordinate with visiting vendors and contractors — log arrivals, verify authorization, and notify appropriate staffAssist with mail sorting, package logging, and outgoing correspondenceMonitor and restock office supplies; notify management of replenishment needsMaintain confidentiality of resident records, financial data, and sensitive HOA mattersCommunity Events & Communications SupportAssist with planning logistics, setup, teardown, and staffing support for community eventsHelp prepare event materials including flyers, sign-in sheets, name tags, and supply listsAssist with posting community communications to social media, digital platforms, and community boards as directedProvide on-site presence and resident interaction support during community events when requestedTechnology & SystemsOperate and learn community management software (TownSq or equivalent HOA platform)Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative tasksAssist with basic digital communications including email, calendar management, and document sharingLearn and use any new systems introduced by management (access control, call box systems, etc.)QualificationsMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1 year of customer service, receptionist, administrative, or office experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills — clarity, grammar, and professionalism matterBasic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and emailDependable, punctual, and able to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to multitask calmly and stay organized in a busy, resident-facing environmentPreferred / Differentiating Qualifications:Prior experience in an HOA, property management, municipal office, or community services roleFamiliarity with HOA management platforms (TownSq or similar)Experience handling multi-line phone systems or high-volume front desk environmentsBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusExperience with event coordination or community outreachWho You AreBeyond the resume, we are looking for someone who embodies our community culture:Genuinely friendly and approachable — residents feel welcome the moment they walk inA natural problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through without being asked twiceProfessional and composed under pressure, with the emotional intelligence to navigate difficult resident interactionsDetail-oriented and organized — you notice what needs doing and take initiativeComfortable interacting with residents of all ages and backgroundsA team player who lifts the people around youPride in your environment — you keep the office looking sharp because it reflects the communityWork Schedule & Physical RequirementsThis is a part-time position. Typical schedule to be determined based on office needs. Flexibility may be required occasionally for community events, special projects, or coverage support. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday; lift up to 20 lbs occasionally; and operate standard office equipment.Why MorningStar?
