nUnder the direction of the Mayor's Office, this position serves as the City's central point of coordination for community partnerships, human services initiatives, and special projects addressing housing stability. The position serves as a liaison between the Mayor, City departments, service providers, and community stakeholders to promote coordinated responses to community needs.
nThe position connects residents with available resources, facilitates collaboration among nonprofit organizations and public agencies, and provides project management support for community-based initiatives and other efforts assigned by the Mayor's Office.
nThis position emphasizes collaboration and resource coordination among service providers and stakeholders and does not provide clinical assessments, counseling, or case management services.
nResident Resource Coordination
nnnServe as the City's primary point of contact regarding human service resources.
n
nnProvide information and referrals to residents and connect individuals with appropriate agencies for intake and support services.
n
nnMaintain and continually update a comprehensive directory of public, nonprofit, faith-based, and private assistance programs.

nnMaintain resource information on City websites and communication platforms.

n nCommunity Partnerships and Collaboration
nnnCollaborate with Police, Fire, Streets, Parks, MODOT, emergency responders, and social service agencies to address and evaluate community concerns and report to Mayor.
n
nnCoordinate relationships with nonprofit organizations, churches, healthcare providers, educational institutions, businesses, and governmental agencies.
n
nnCoordinate meetings and collaborative efforts among community partners.
n
nnCoordinate with City departments to implement community initiatives and improve communication.
n
nnAssist with community outreach and public education efforts related to housing, homelessness, and human services initiatives.
n
n nStrategic Initiatives and Program Administration
nnnProvide staff support for the Mayor's Human Services Task Force and other advisory bodies as assigned, and assist with implementation of recommendations and initiatives.
n
nnCoordinate stakeholders, timelines, and implementation activities for special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the Mayor's Office.
n
nnIdentify grant opportunities and assist with grant administration, reporting, and compliance requirements, including initiatives supported through opioid settlement resources and other designated funding sources.
n
nnTrack program activities and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for City leadership and elected officials.
n
nnRecruit and coordinate volunteers and community partners as needed to support community initiatives.
n
n nMinimum Training and Experience Required
nnnHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
n
nnBachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, community development, human services, or a related field is preferred, or experience in local government, nonprofit organizations, housing stability, homelessness response, behavioral health, grant administration, or related fields.
n
nnStrong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills are essential.
n
nnAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials, service providers, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
n
nnA valid driver's license is required.
