Job description
Hourly Pay: $16.90 - $19 per hour
nMaxim Healthcare Companion Services is hiring a Companion Caregiver to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role provides non-medical care focused on companionship, daily support, and safety in the home and community.

n nResponsibilities:
nnnProvides “hands off” care such as:
n
nnProviding and encouraging socialization
n
nnEncouraging a mild exercise program
n
nnEncouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
n
nnSupervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
n
nnAssisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
n
nnPerforms other duties as assigned/necessary
n
nnArrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
n
nnPerforms all duties in an accurate and timely manner
n
nnSafeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
n
n nRequirements:
nnnMust be at least 18 years old
n
nnOne (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred
n
nnAbility to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred
n
nnMust demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred
n
nnAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
n
nnProficiency in the English language is required
n
nnComputer proficiency required
n
