Job description
Companion II - Manchester With Athena Care At Home$17.00 per hour with weekly pay. This on-the-road position requires the candidate to have an active driver's license and an insured vehicle, and must be willing to travel throughout the county. Mileage is reimbursed.Job Summary:As a Companion II, you will provide supervision for safety and assistance to clients in activities of daily living to maintain them in their home. You will provide non-medical personal care to support clients living with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments, including housekeeping duties, personal hygiene assistance, and more.Responsibilities:Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating/feedingProvide medication remindersHousekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, trash removal, laundry, changing bed sheets, etc.Drive clients to and from planned outings, events, or appointments, as neededProvide emotional and social support to clientsAssist with grocery shopping and meal preparationMonitor the skin health of the clientApplication and maintenance of prosthetics and orthoticsReport any changes in the client's status to appropriate team membersRequirements:High school diploma or its equivalentExcellent customer service and listening skillsMust be at least 18 years oldMust have an active driver's license and an insured vehicleAccess to a working telephone for communication with the client, family, and the teamExcellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the client, family, and office staffAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageDemonstrate the ability to make appropriate professional judgmentsAbility to handle multiple tasksWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
