Dawn Psychological Solutions is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our passionate team. Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each client.
Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
Document client progress meticulously, utilizing electronic health record systems to maintain accurate records of treatment interventions and outcomes.
Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on current research, best practices, and licensing requirements in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds facing a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. You will have the opportunity to work with adults, families, and groups, crafting tailored treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client. Our goal is to empower clients to improve their mental wellness through effective therapeutic practices.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
Active licensure in New York as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or an equivalent credential is required.
A foundational understanding of various mental health issues and effective treatment modalities.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in outpatient settings with a diverse clientele is highly preferred.
Proficiency in using telehealth systems and electronic health record platforms.
Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.G., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) would be advantageous.
