Position Overview
Green Forest Healing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth clinical assessments to accurately identify clients' mental health needs.
Develop and implement tailored evidence-based treatment plans that align with each client's goals and circumstances.
Provide individual, couples, and group counseling to a diverse client population, employing effective therapeutic interventions.
Engage in collaborative discussions with interdisciplinary teams to enhance client care and address complexities in treatment.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in regular clinical supervision and case conferences to continuously improve your practice and share insights with colleagues.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clients come from various backgrounds and may struggle with a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and substance use challenges. You will have the opportunity to work closely with these individuals, guiding them through their therapeutic journeys and helping them develop coping strategies and resilience.
Qualifications
A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
A Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated experience in conducting individual and group therapy in mental health settings.
Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and treatment modalities.
Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and fostering trusting relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively document and communicate client progress and needs.
Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
Preferred Experience
At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, specifically with evidence of successful therapeutic outcomes.
Experience in remote counseling settings is a plus, as familiarity with digital therapeutic tools and technologies will enhance your effectiveness.
