Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments for new clients to determine their mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans tailored to their circumstances.
Delivering individual therapy sessions utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness approaches.
Establishing therapeutic goals with clients to monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as required.
Providing teletherapy options to accommodate clients who may have accessibility challenges, ensuring that care remains available to all.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to state licensing board requirements and ethical standards.
Participating in ongoing professional development, which may include pursuing additional educational opportunities and training in specialized therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), or Psychologist (PsyD).
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates are encouraged to have prior experience in outpatient settings and familiarity with telehealth practices. Experience with specific populations, such as children or underserved communities, is highly valued.
