Job description
Speridian is seeking a HIPAA Compliance Expert and a seasoned Project Management Consultant with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Expertise in HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT, with a proven track record of leading successful projects and contributing to industry advancements. This role is remote but requires West Coast business hours.

Role and Responsibilities:
HIPAA Compliance: develop and administer HIPAA-compliant programs, staying abreast of regulatory changes, and implementing best practices.
Project Management: Proficient in managing large-scale, complex projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled in liaising with healthcare stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Policy Development: Experience in crafting and reviewing healthcare policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Training & Development: Proficient in developing and delivering training on HIPAA-covered information and compliance.
Must have for contact compliance purposes:
Minimum of 24 months of work experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included performing a compliance review or audit of HIPAA laws, rules, or policies. or Minimum of 24 months of work experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included providing training or developing workplace policies/procedures on the dissemination or protection of HIPAA-covered information.
Minimum of 24 months of experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included managing or communicating with healthcare stakeholders. Stakeholders are defined as parties that use or disseminate protected health information.
Minimum of 24 months of experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included analyzing and documenting the laws, rules, or policies regarding protected health information.
Desired:
Legislative experience is a plus
