Job description
Key responsibilities
Developing and tracking Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) metrics
Performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Designing and executing reliability tests
Conducting failure analysis (RCA)
Driving continuous product and process improvement in collaboration with suppliers and Meta's internal cross-functional teams
Establishing in-house testing capabilities
Generating detailed reports
Coordinating and managing global suppliers on manufacturing processes and mass production readiness
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Sciences and Engineering, and/or related field 8+ years of experience in the development and validation of optical communication components such as lasers, transmitters, receivers, and transceivers
5+ years of experience in high-speed optical and electrical test and measurement equipment, control, data acquisition and test automation
Programming skills in one or more of the following: Python or MATLAB
Experience with optical integration, including InP PICs, Silicon-photonic PICs, PIC-IC integration, and 3D optical/silicon packaging technologies
Experience with advanced modulation formats, direct detect and coherent systems (e.g., NRZ, PAM-4, QPSK, 8-QAM, 16QAM)
Experience in high-speed optical and electrical test (both component and system level) and test automation
Experience in creating or influencing product reliability test strategies and methodologies
