Composite Manufacturing TechnicianTurn your hands-on skills into a career in aviation! Help manufacture helicopter composite rotor blades and related components in a precision manufacturing environment. Candidates with relevant advanced experience may be considered for a higher-level technician position.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Composite Manufacturing Technician Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 25.15 to $ 34.96 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)Prepare, lay up, assemble, and bond composite materials.Manufacture rotor blades and components to FAA and OEM standards.Read blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.Operate precision measuring tools, manufacturing equipment, and hand tools.Sand, smooth, and apply sealing resins to components.Document completed work and maintain quality standards.Handle chemicals safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Composite Manufacturing Technician Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.Minimum of one year of relevant machine operation, industrial manufacturing, industrial shop, welding, or composite fabrication experience.Candidates new to the workforce may qualify through recent hands-on coursework in shop, welding, manufacturing, or a related technical program.Demonstrated employment stability: at least two consecutive years with one previous or current employer, unless new to the workforce.Experience using hand and power tools, taking accurate measurements, and following detailed instructions; blueprint reading is a plus.Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, dependable attendance, and the ability to communicate and follow safety instructions in English.Availability for overtime, weekends, and travel as required; advanced aviation, composite, fiberglass, or bonding experience may qualify candidates for a higher-level position.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
