Job description
Composite TechnicianHEPCO is seeking a Composite Technician for a client. This role involves fabricating composite subassemblies and armor panels using materials such as fiberglass, epoxy, plastics, ceramics, and alloys.Cut, trim, grind, and assemble composite materials using hand, pneumatic, and electric power tools.Follow work orders, templates, shop instructions, and illustrations.Mix and apply release agents, sealants, solvents, adhesives, and resins.Use scales and calipers to measure materials and finished work.Perform related aircraft seat cushion assembly, including bonding, cutting, and grinding foam, plastics, and laminated materials.Maintain quality and accuracy while working across different projects.Follow company safety policies and perform other assigned tasks.QualificationsHigh school diploma.At least one year of production assembly experience, related technical schooling, or an approved equivalent combination.Ability to read and apply work instructions and work order details.Ability to use both hands to handle and construct assemblies.Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts and move, pull, lift, or transfer products weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.Technical institute certification or a related degree is preferred.
