Composites Technical AssociateAOC is the leading global supplier of specialty resins, gel coats, colorants and additives which enable customers to create robust, durable, and versatile products and components.AOC is currently seeking an entry-level Composites Technical Associate for the Valparaiso, Indiana facility. The Composites Technical Associate provides customer support for the composite clients serviced by AOC and interfaces with AOC's Sales, Research & Development, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing departments to optimize product performance for the end-use customer.ResponsibilitiesOptimize current product formulations to meet customer requirementsAttend customer field trials and support product scale-up activitiesAddress product or process issues with lab work and/or customer visitsDocument all activities through written and verbal communication to various internal and external stakeholdersPerform laboratory tests to develop new productsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred)0-2 years of relevant experience (higher experience levels welcome)0-2 years in polyester resin or composite industryCapable of using lab testing equipment and interpreting resultsAbility to work under general direction and guidanceAbility to pickup/carry weights over 50lbsExperience working with hazardous materials, including usage, storage, and proper disposal (PREFERRED)Willing and able to travel 20-30% annually; PPE required in plant environmentsWhat We OfferCompetitive PayPaid Vacation and Holidays401(k) with Company Contributions and MatchingMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance - Effective the 1st of the month after hireHealth Savings Account (HSA)Company-Paid Life Insurance + Disability InsuranceTuition Reimbursement ProgramService Recognition RewardsPet InsuranceRelocation assistanceAOC is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
