Role: Compressor Development Engineer
Location: Verona, VA (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Compressor Development Engineer with experience in centrifugal compressor design, development, testing, and validation. The candidate will work on compressor performance, reliability, and product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop centrifugal compressors.
Perform thermodynamic analysis, CAE/CFD simulations, and FEA.
Conduct stress, vibration, and rotor dynamics analysis.
Support prototype testing, product validation, and qualification.
Perform material selection and reliability analysis.
Apply GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, and DOE techniques.
Identify design issues and implement engineering improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve compressor performance and quality.
Required Skills
Experience in centrifugal compressor design and development.
Knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems.
Experience with CAE/CFD and FEA tools.
Understanding of rotor dynamics, stress analysis, and vibration analysis.
Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, and DOE.
Experience in prototype testing, validation, and product qualification.
