Job description
Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Computer Aided Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and support CNC and advanced manufacturing processes for innovative defense and aerospace systems. You will create and validate CAM programs, tooling, and fixturing, partner with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, and drive DFM/DFA improvements. In APL’s collaborative, mission-driven culture, you’ll apply cutting-edge tools, support prototype through low-rate production, troubleshoot complex machining challenges, and help transition designs into reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hardware for critical national security and space missions.
