Concrete Finisher/Form CarpenterThe Fred Smith Company is currently recruiting for the position of Concrete Finisher/Form Carpenter. Successful applicants will have at least 3 years experience constructing and dismantling concrete forms for bridges, culverts and walls, and finishing concrete surfaces. This position involves constructing and installing concrete forms, placing and finishing concrete, and completing projects safely and according to specifications.Responsibilities include building, installing, aligning, bracing, and removing concrete forms; reading plans, measurements, grades, and layout markings; pouring, spreading, leveling, screeding, floating, edging, and finishing concrete; creating broom, smooth, and other specified finishes; installing reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and related materials; operating hand and power tools safely; maintaining a clean and organized jobsite; following company safety procedures and using required protective equipment; and working effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and crew members.
