Concrete Form Carpenter/FinisherAs a Concrete Form Carpenter/Finisher at Wright Concrete Construction, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by creating and installing the forms that hold the concrete in place. Your main objective will be to ensure the precise and accurate placement of concrete to create strong and durable structures. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and plans, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and securing the forms. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision will be essential in achieving the desired results. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience as a Concrete Form Carpenter/Finisher or similar roleProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plansStrong knowledge of different types of formwork materials and their applicationsAbility to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials to precise specificationsFamiliarity with various tools and equipment used in formwork installation and concrete finishingPreferred Qualifications:Certification or apprenticeship in Carpentry or a related fieldExperience working on commercial or industrial construction projectsKnowledge of concrete mixing and pouring techniquesAbility to operate power tools and equipment safelyStrong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditionsResponsibilities:Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the formwork requirementsMeasure, cut, and shape materials such as wood, metal, and plastic to create the formsAssemble and secure the forms using nails, screws, and other fastenersEnsure the forms are properly aligned and leveled to achieve the desired shape and dimensionsPour and finish concrete into the forms, smoothing and leveling the surfaceSkills:In this role, your skills in reading and interpreting blueprints will be crucial in understanding the formwork requirements and ensuring accurate placement of concrete. Your proficiency in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials will be essential in creating the forms to the desired specifications. Attention to detail and precision will be necessary to align and level the forms properly. Additionally, your knowledge of different formwork materials and their applications will help you select the most suitable materials for each project. Finally, your ability to pour and finish concrete will contribute to the overall quality and durability of the structures you help build.
