Job description
Housekeeping InspectorAs a Housekeeping Inspector at Trailborn Surf and Sound, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of our condos guest rooms and public areas. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will be essential in this role. You will report directly to the Director of Housekeeping/Housekeeping Manager and work closely with Room Attendants, House Attendants and other departments as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.Responsibilities:Monitor and oversee housekeeping team members in assigned sections to ensure high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and rooms standards are consistently maintained dailyInspect guest rooms, public areas and other areas as assigned to ensure they meet our standards of cleanliness and presentation (including minibar) prior to declaring the rooms Vacant InspectedEnsure all carts, linen closets, storage closets, corridors are well kept, organized and maintain standards on assigned floorsCollaborate with other department leaders and inspectors to ensure guest needs are met and exceededReport defects or deficiencies in all rooms, corridors, landings, closets to appropriate teams via use of HotSosCorrect deficiencies through coaching of team and assisting with completion of rooms cleaning/room attendant boards as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:2+ years of experience in housekeeping or related fieldExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a hotel or resort settingKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methodsFamiliarity with OSHA regulations and safety proceduresAbility to speak multiple languagesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain upright continuously on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift.Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.Must be able to ascend to 12 feet in height on a ladder.Must be able to position oneself appropriately to make beds, carry trash, vacuum, sweep, dust and be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event roomsCompany Benefits and Perks:Full TimePart TimeSeasonalMedical (with company contribution)Dental (with company contribution)Vision (with company contribution)Paid Time Off401(k) (with company match)Sick TimeEmployee Dining DiscountsEmployee Marketplace DiscountsSchedule: Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Pay Rate: $25/HourJob Status: Seasonal, Full-Time and Part-TimeFLSA: Non-Exempt (Hourly)Equal Employment Opportunity: Trailborn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
